Military Knives - Ear Daggers

Ear daggers are clearly based on Eastern and Egyptian forms from 1500 BC or so, the form was revived in the Early Renaissance in Italy and became associated with the higher classes of both Italy and Spain.

The blades are always very stout, the handles thin and very uncomfortable looking (though less so in reality) and they really suit only an ice pick grip.

Early 15thC through to mid 16thC and as they were for the higher classes they traveled in small numbers throughout Europe.

From £600.
